The U.S. government has announced additional funds to support the commercial roll-out of utility-scale solar power.
The government initiative, called "SunShot," has provided recent awards:
- The Bay Area PV Consortium and SVTC Technologies each receive $25 million to research high-volume PV production and bring down to-market costs.
- The U.S. Photovoltaic Manufacturing Consortium is getting $62.5 million to find ways to reduce the cost of manufacturing thin film photovoltaics, increase manufacturing efficiency, and develop a skilled workforce.

Hi it is a good thing the sun,it gives a warmness to all and energy to it seems that sand is a real solution for some energy needs, alot better than fuels of any other kind.It captures something already burned quite some time ago and reuses it in a way that does not produce to much harmfull stuff. sun power is an exellent choice for many remote places it gives me a warm feeling.
